Our KDN Bulgaria Cloud Services unit is focused on designing, building, securing and managing cloud native & hybrid platforms for the KPMG group of member firms, as well as providing cloud advisory and engineering services to external clients.

The GCP Operations engineer is going to be part of global team supporting KPMG Global GCP platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle escalated issues that require deeper technical investigation.
  • Troubleshoots configuration problems in services like networking (VPC), IAM, and Compute Engine, etc.
  • Analyzes logs and metrics to identify the root cause of performance degradation or error.
  • Support complex configuration and deployment activities, including altering Terraform scripts and resolving issues within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proactively monitor service health and performance, addressing potential issues before they impact users.
  • Implement security configurations and policies.
  • Investigates security alerts and potential vulnerabilities.
  • Update documentation and knowledge bases to reflect new solutions or troubleshooting techniques identified.
  • Escalate critical or unresolved issues to L3 support, providing comprehensive background and ticket history.

What you bring in:

  • Deep technical experience with GCP. Knowledge in Azure is a plus.
  • Experience in developing automation scripts that enable management of GCP environment, DevOps and CI/CD concepts is a great plus.
  • Experience in supporting and building Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions. (Terraform)
  • Experience in managing containerized solutions.
  • Good communication skills
  • Proven ability to dynamically prioritize work efforts to meet deadlines and work effectively with minimal supervision in a team environment
  • Must be able to make relevant and appropriate decisions in your field of expertise
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge in ITIL framework or Agile methodologies
  • Fluent English
